Working out the kinks, Folks we’re doing it live

One of the accepted truths of working with new tech is that there are going to be bugs. One of my favorite examples of a collaborative effort to address this was the Halo:Reach beta. Not only did gamers get the joy of playing with an, arguably, genre changing game, but Bungie (the developer) also got to see their beta version being tested out by actual users.

This blog is the same idea. I get to play with something I am truly interested in, a blog talking about my time as intern for The Center for New Media and Citizen Engagment (or as it is shortened to in my mind, Team Awesome),  while also providing feedback on my experience. And let’s be honest who doesn’t like it when their opinion gets to count?

So periodically I’ll be updating about my experiences working here, while occasionally trying new things to make sure that the system is working as it should be.

Talk to you soon.

Welcome to Bo’s Blog

I want to start this blog by saying welcome to anyone who’s reading this. It’s a pleasure to have you be a part of the new blog. My name is Bo Sutton and I’m a (late arriving) summer intern at the GSA’s Center for New Media and Citizen Engagement. Which is the long way of saying we’re here to make governemnt transparency as easy as possible and using new media solutions to do so. The Twitter feed for the Center is GovNewMedia, and it’s well worth checking out. Thank you all again, and check back in as I plan on writing again soon.
