The SERFC Journal is usually issued 1 to 3 times a week. It is issued by Hydrologist in Charge John Feldt and reflects his professional hydrometeorological opinion and expertise. Posts of the SERFC Journal will typically describe the latest hydrometeorological situation across the Southeast U.S. or some interesting aspect of weather, water, or climate. The focus of the SERFC Journal will clearly align towards hydrology, hydrometeorology, water resources, or climate as it relates to water resources. It will usually not discuss in depth other weather aspects such as severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, or winter weather.
