Record Snow at many SNOTELs to start April

As winter gives way to spring, we are seeing very high readings at many of the SNOTEL sites in our basin. To put these in perspective with past years, the map below shows the percentile ranking of the snow water equalivant readings at the SNOTELs for sites with ten or more years of record.The black squares in the central Wasatch, western Uintas, and Colorado Rocky Mountains indicate sites that are reporting their highest ever readings on today, April 6. With more storms on the way for the weekend, this snow pack will continue to grow.
